As we grow in our faith, we may be tempted to turn away because Jesus' lessons are difficult. Will your response be to give up, ignore certain teaching, or reject Christ? Instead, ask God to show you what the teachings mean and how they apply to your life. Then have the courage to act on God's truth.

I have certainly experienced this. When something the Lord wants me to do, or learn, is hard, I tend to get all "stiff-necked" about it for a bit first. I need to just say, "Yes, Lord," and just do it, and not be so whiny about it. One thing I can think of right of hand is the obedience to your husband part. Obedience is NOT my strong suit, but I am trying. And I can see that it really is making a difference!

I don't know how I feel on the obedience subject yet. I've read parts on it, but am undecided on if its a cultural issue and issue of that era or meant for all generations. Good luck with your journey through it however. :)
